The London
Gateway Port project, was to supply walkways to provide safe pedestrian access
between berthing and mooring Dolphins at an oil terminal on the River Thames.
There were
six spans of approximately 28 meters linking the dolphins, and a 20 metre span
and a 50 metre span linking the Dolphins to Land. The trusses were of an
inverted design, with the reinforcement below the bridge deck to allow the
operatives to drag the mooring lines over the parapet rails. The bridge deck
was a galvanized open grid flooring. |
