The footbridge spans the Ash Vale canal as part of the Borough Council's desire to create a village gateway to Ash Vale, Ashford in Kent.
With a 9 metre span, the bridge was manufactured and transported to the site in one piece. The 2.5 metre steel deck is treated with anti slip surfacing.
